Megatron: Origin redefined Megatron from a cartoon antagonist into a revolutionary figure shaped by class oppression, labor exploitation, and institutional violence.

The series introduced Megatron’s miner origins, Cybertronian caste politics, and Sentinel Prime as an authoritarian symbol of the old order. These ideas later became foundational to IDW’s long-form storytelling and were subsequently echoed across film and animation.
